Goechla is a 17,000 foot pass in the shadow of Mt Kanchenzhonga - the third highest mountain in the world at 28,000 feet.

The walk up provides spectacular views of mountain ranges that bleed into the distance, streams whose banks are bejewelled with icicles and rime covered rocks, and forests of juniper and pine.
There is a rareness to the air and a sense of spirituality that is hard to ignore. The sacred mountain reminds you of how minor and transient we are.
